Le projet Fitzwilliam <\/b>a pour but de rendre ces merveilles pleinement accessibles au public ; en effet aucun enregistrement int\u00e9gral du manuscrit a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce jour.<\/p>\n
A part la r\u00e9alisation d\u2019un enregistrement int\u00e9gral de toutes les 297 pi\u00e8ces en 16 CDs, le projet veut donner aux m\u00e9lomanes l\u2019occasion d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter cette collection inou\u00efe dans sa totalit\u00e9, en organisant des repr\u00e9sentations int\u00e9grales en 16 r\u00e9citals dans toute l\u2019Europe \u00e9galement en premi\u00e8re mondiale.<\/p>\n
A cette fin, huit clavecinistes-organistes de quatre pays, de renom international se sont mis ensemble pour \u00e9laborer ce projet extraordinaire. Pour que l\u2019enregistrement pr\u00e9sente autant de vari\u00e9t\u00e9 et de pertinence historique que possible \u2013 outre le fait qui\u2019l sera enregistr\u00e9 par huit personnes diff\u00e9rentes \u2013 tous les instruments \u00e0 clavier connus de l\u2019Angleterre des XVIe et XVIIe si\u00e8cles seront repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s, \u00e0 savoir le clavecin<\/b>, le virginal<\/b>, la r\u00e9gale<\/b>, l\u2019orgue<\/b>, le clavicorde<\/b> et le claviorganum<\/b>. Nous utiliserons des instruments historiques ainsi que des copies d\u2019ancien des plus \u00e9minents facteurs europ\u00e9ens.<\/p>\n
Les concerts pourront \u00eatre organis\u00e9s en \u00ab marathon \u00bb, c\u2019est \u00e0 dire en deux \u00e0\u00a0quatre\u00a0jours, ou \u00e9tendus sur une p\u00e9riode plus longue, par exemple une saison enti\u00e8re. Des expos\u00e9s autour du Fitzwilliam Virginal Book<\/i>, de la musique anglaise en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral ou des instruments pourront compl\u00e9ter les concerts.<\/p>\n

This variety of approaches will maximise the historical relevance and impact of the recording \u2013 not only will it be recorded by eight different players \u2013 all types of keyboard instruments known of England in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries will be represented, namely harpsichord<\/b>, virginal<\/b>, the regale<\/b>, organ<\/b>, clavichord<\/b> and claviorganum<\/b>.
